Nusszopf

After experimenting with different recipes without a satisfying result, I came up with my own recipe, which is mainly inspired by a recipe for pretzels :)

Ingredients

Dough

500 g Flour
20 g Yeast
10 g Salt
2 TS Oil
0.25 l Water
  Sugar & Cinnamon

Filling

50 g Sugar
75 g Ground Hazelnut
100 g Chopped Walnut
75 g Chopped Almond
3 TS Apricot Jam
3 TS Rum
2 TS Amaretto
  Cinnamom & Cardamom

Cooking

  • Form dough from ingredients listed above.
  • Put dough aside for 1 to 1.5 hours.
  • Mix ingredients for the filling.
  • Roll out the dough and apply the filling.
  • Roll up the dough and cut it along the long side.
  • Braid the two halfes and put them into a greased baking pan.
  • Put into oven at 200°C for 20 minutes.
